All of the interns were happy to attend this week’s Queen’s Park Oktoberfest celebration. I speak on behalf of all the interns in saying that it was an extremely enjoyable and exceptional reception. With bratwurst, lederhosen, beer, and singing, it truly felt like the Oktoberfest spirit had entered into Queen’s Park for the night. Besides all the fun being had by all, it in fact was a reception that marked the success of the Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest as Canada’s greatest Bavarian celebration! The event was hosted by Leeanna Pendergast, the Member from Kitchener- Conestoga, and the interns want to thank all those who had a hand in putting on such an enjoyable reception. Besides learning about the cultural celebration that takes place in Kitchener-Waterloo each year, all the interns got to experience a truly successful reception, and hopefully we can put some of things we learned to good use when we put on our reception later this fall.
