Last week the OLIP interns had the pleasure of meeting with the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO). The Professional Engineers of Ontario represent and self-regulate the over 70,000 engineers in the province. Marisa Sterling, Leah Price, Bernie Ennis, Kaitlyn Dodge, and Jeanette Chau each gave the interns a brief presentation about their roles with the PEO. The presentations were both informative and even included some engineer related trivia.
The interns learned about the regulation of the profession, the PEO’s involvement in particular Ontario cases, and the vast tradition associated with the PEO. The interns were treated to a delicious lunch and even had specially made name placards placed around the main meeting room of the PEO. The interns would like to take this opportunity to thank the Professional Engineers of Ontario and all of the members that we had the pleasure of meeting.
