Last Friday afternoon we had the chance to speak with former intern Natalie Desimini. A current policy advisor for the Ministry of Education, Natalie had some wise words for us, both on the program, and her experiences inside and outside government (post OLIP). Natalie spoke to us about her shifting policy interests since the start of the internship, as well as how she made her way to OECTA to kickstart her career in education policy, learning about education from a stakeholder’s perspective. It was fascinating to hear Natalie’s thoughts on childcare, a very topical issue of great interest to many of us, as well as, of course, to hear her insights on OLIP. Thanks to Natalie for taking the time!
