Our last meeting on Friday was with Belinda Ellsworth, an OLIP alum who currently works as a Program Analyst at the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration. Belinda told us a bit about how she got to her position – through the Ontario Internship Program – and how she finds working in the OPS in relation to Queen’s Park. What really struck us about our meeting, though, was the advice Belinda has for our time as interns, and her accounts of what an amazing experience the internship was for her. She provided us with sound advice about how to function in our member’s offices; how to make ourselves most useful, and how to get the most out of our experience at the legislature. She also only had wonderful things to say about the Yellowknife trip – even offering to come along! Thanks taking the time to meet with us Belinda!
