Over the past 20 years, the Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA) has developed a unique working relationship with the OLIP interns – now featuring two former interns as part of their Government Relations team: Matthew Thornton & Sylvia Pena! (Superheroes, as seen below)
OREA is one of Ontario’s most respected professional associations. Founded in 1922 by a handful of real estate professionals, today, OREA represents over 56 000 REALTORS® and 40 local real estate boards and associations. It serves its members through a variety of publications, educational programs and brings a united voice to the Ontario Legislature on behalf of REALTORS®.
The association is committed to promoting high industry standards, protecting consumers, and promoting home ownership. OREA is the only authorized provider of real estate licensing courses in the province. In 2012, OREA became a lead sponsor of OLIP, cementing what had already been almost two decades of devoted philanthropy. As an organization, they are committed to education and professionalism, and OREA takes special pride in helping nurture young people’s interest in politics and create tomorrow’s leaders. OREA is a proud sponsor of the Ontario Legislature Internship Programme, and we think they’re ‘super!’
But don’t just take our word for it; check them out at their government relations blog.
