OLIP Hosts the Manitoba Interns

Today was exciting for the OLIP interns as we are hosting our first delegation of interns. So far it has been interesting to have the chance to compare our internships and the politics of our two provinces a little bit.

The Manitoba Interns were introduced in the House after exploring the Legislature on a tour. They started their week off strong with a chat with Tim Hudak. He told them stories about his time as leader and his long career in Ontario politics. They then made their way to the Globe and Mail to meet with the Editor-in-Chief David Walmsley who had insights on a very broad range of topics. Next up was a trip uptown to TTC Head Office to meet Chris Upfold the Chief Customer Officer/Deputy CEO. It was very interesting to discuss transit with him and to hear the Manitoba Interns’ perceptions of the TTC.

We look forward to getting to know them better as the week goes on and hope they enjoy their meetings!
