While we’re now all immersed in each of our new offices, one of the perks of OLIP is that we remain connected to our fellow interns and to our sponsors.
A couple weeks ago we had the pleasure of having lunch with The Co-operators, an organization that has been a strong supporter of the program. Along with Frank Bomben and Maya Milardovic from the Co-operators, we were lucky to also meet representatives of several other co-ops and co-operative organizations from across Ontario.
These organizations, including the Co-operative Housing Federation of Canada, le Conseil de la Coopération de l’Ontario, and the Ontario Co-operative Association, had also come to the legislature for co-op day at Queen’s Park. Therefore, in addition to being provided a lovely meal we got to learn more about how co-operatives work, and the unique challenges they face compared to traditional corporate businesses in Ontario.
Thanks again to the Co-operators for a great lunch and their ongoing support of OLIP!
